The problem of trying to sever a connection between a pilot and an EVA is that two things could happen, either the EVA shuts down, or it goes berserk, and you don’t want To be fighting an EVA that just went berserk.

I’m more going by the bypass approach; whenever Kamille overloads Zeta’s biosensor, which is a subconscious event he has no control over, it glows and seems to be invulnerable to any attacks, which sounds similar enough to the ‘soul-generated’ A.T. fields that it could be seen as a Newtype-boosted A.T. Field and break through.
When two psycoframes resonate, they start connecting together both their pilots and others’ will. Amuro and Char’s strong newtype connection, plus the connection of humanity’s will fed into the Nu Gundam ends up being very similar to an Anti A.T. Field’s unification shenanigans sans the jellofication of the world. A similar resonance or connection to the pilot could dissolve the ‘barrier of the heart’ A.T. Fields, if not at least allow passage to the connected mech in question.
(couldn’t find video example) Unicorn’s the least probable one I mentioned, but it’s capacity to hijack newtype, ie mind controlled tools could maybe mess with the synchronization between a pilot and the EVA.

That reminds me, EVA-02 manages to break an A.T. Field with it’s teeth on the second Rebuild movie. Granted, it looked like this at said moment, but still.
Basically, Mari (no, not the one from ANIMA, this one) hijacked EVA-02, made it go berserk in an attempt to stop Zeruel and promptly got her ass handed to her. She gets points for trying, though.
Ya, I mean I kind of like what they did with the Rai close but there was some thing that were really odd too, and then the Mari in it, they made a f-ing catgirl, and a feline Eva, what the hell…

I haven’t see any of Rebuild, so I’m next to clueless on anything there.
And the things I have found out about it makes far less sense to me….
It’s… really vague, honestly. They’re clones of Lilith, a living organism, yet they rely on batteries, unless they’re on berserk mode, but that doesn’t have unlimited energy as they can’t do the same things as the Angels, unless we’re talking about Rebuild, in which case they can rival the Angels in power if they go berserk…
The most logical explanation is that’s how long the plug can work and when they go berserk they run on the EVA’s own bio-electricity and brain patterns of their host’s soul or something.

I said I don’t know more about Gundams then Evas, meaning the Evangelions, I have see the anime and know what the Angel are like, I just know very little of how the Evas work as I never really looked into it, Gundams on the other hand I have looked up the specifications and designs of and a number of other things from sources that are in canon.
But no, GN particles can’t create pocket dimensions, but the eve’s couldn’t really do it ether, I’m guessing it would take to much power or something.
But can GN particles create pocket dimensions? No seriously, there’s an Angel that created his own pocket dimension and made it’s own body three nanometers thick.
Angels are freaking weird.
Case in point.
The thin one is one meter shorter but because of GN Particles the bulkier one is about 10 metric tons lighter.
GN Particles can be for manipulation of gravity’s pull on mass, and air resistance is never much of a problem for most Gundams.
Have in mind that A.T. Fields can affect both mass and air resistance (at least in the movies).
I could go into the other things GN Particles can do, but as both are used in ways that don’t make a lot of sense to real science, just trust me that if anything from Gundam will work on an A.T. Field, it’s a Gundam with a GN Drive(the generators that produces the GN Particles).
I was going to say that that doesn’t make sense, but then I realized that the A.T. fields make even less sense.
GN Particles may be decayed baryons but they act in a unique way, for they can made a person to go through an evolution, so don’t mark them off as as simply decayed baryon.
I doubt it, GN Particles are decayed baryons, and baryons are made of quarks, which are the base for matter. Heat energy, such as those produced by lasers have little to no effect on an A.T. Field.
I know more about Gundams then Evas, and I haven’t seen much of Gundam 00 but it has generators in the Gundams that produce “GN Particles” and seeing how they can be used, it’s likely going to work on an A.T. Field.
A.T. Field are weak to anti-matter, other A.T. Fields, and specialized Anti-A.T. weaponry.
Now, I don’t know much about Gundam, but I don’t that they could stand much of a chance against an EVA.
Kamille’s biosensor overload, A resonating Psycoframe or just Unicorn’s NT-D system could possibly overrun an A.T. field, considering their effects on psycho-based weaponry
Not to mention if this is in a SRW setting then A.T. fields are simply smashable with enough force.

The problem is that it seems that the Evangelion universe has a tendency to aim for the worst possible outcome of everything.
Hell, that picture I posted is Shinji doing exactly that, he goes “Fuck all of you, I’m doing something right for once” and then he initiates Third Impact all by himself because life hates him.
