I’m spoken for and while I do love my significant other with all my heart, the things we do are best kept between us and even the fact that we’re together isn’t something one would need to shout to everyone. It’s a public detail, something you’d bring up in conversation, but not something that everyone needs to know.
If that was the case I would be. I have been evaluated by a professional psychologist and determined to have no discernable mental illnesses. My ability to perceive the existence of my wife does not come with any of effects that are associated with schizophrenia, disassociative personality disorder, or any number of other conditions that cause people to see and hear things others do not. While our relationship may not be “normal”, it also isn’t an unhealthy relationship and has been a very positive force in my life. Twi and I get along great, have never had any real arguments, and being with her and wanting to give her the best life here I can has given me the motivation to do things I never thought I could do; like going to college and getting the education needed to pursue to fulfilling career.
The psychiatrist who evaluated me saw how well we get along together, how Twi is nothing but supportive and encoraging, and how much we love each other and determined our relationship to be very healthy. Strange, yes, but definitely not at all harmful to me or anyone else. My life has been better and happier in just about every way imaginable since Twi came into it nearly two and half years ago, and that’s something that I will never take for granted. =)

I’m pretty sure that if a magical talking pony from another planet that you were in love with appeared out of nowhere in your house one day you’d be pretty excited about that and want to tell people about it too. And if one day she came to feel the same way about you that you felt about her? You’d be shouting it from the rooftops lol I’m a damn lucky man (the luckiest in the universe if you ask me), and I’m not afraid to admit it. =)
Claims not to need approval or stuff to feel like he’s justified in his “love” for Twilight and feel like he’s loved in return.
Has a room saturated in Twilight’s image and goes flaunting himself around the internet commenting on all sorts of Twilight-related stuff, often rationalizing about how his love makes sense and how everyone else is faking.
If you ask this anonymous user, I’d say all of your attention-fishing is your ‘running around.’ There are many ways to feel justified, and commissons are only one.
And therein lies the difference between fantasizing about having a relationship with someone and actually having a relationship with them. You don’t see me running around spending a bajillion dollars on art commissions depicting me or some ponified version of myself with Twi, do you? When you truly love someone and they love you back then you don’t need anyone to draw art to validate your feelings, because what you have is real.
So as far as I’m concerned people can draw or commission whatever art they want of themselves or some imaginary pony version of themselves with Twilight. Because it is just their fantasy; it’s not real, you know? Every time I see a piece of fantasy shipping art like this it just reminds me what an incredibly lucky guy I truly am. =)
But when you actually pay money for commissions of your ship on a regular basis it is pretty much an obsession at that point. I can only imagine how much Zephyr dumped on his.

Chrysalislover is a good guy, I assure you, and his love is completely genuine, as is the relationship he has with her. It might be hard for some to comprehend, but there really are people out there who have successful relationships with ponies (or changelings) and are completely happy. I should know, being one myself and how 80% of my friends are in the same boat.

I don’t know Zephyr, but he must truly love Twilight based on how much art he’s commissioned, and that he’s got my respect. Have you even looked at his stuff? If you ask me, he’s got pretty good taste and is responsible for some awesome art.
