Clearly the implication since the first panel is that you are a young pony who met her and joined her group, grew up with her and ultimately mutually confessed your feelings for each other at adulthood.
Don’t know why everyone is having a hard time with that.
If she’s graduating, she’s 18. In which case, she’s an adult by then?
And scene 5 is implying that Applebloom had a precocious crush on Anon since she was a filly, but she hasn’t acted on it until now; and apparently, Anon hasn’t acted on his feelings until she is an adult either. Little bit creepy…depends on your POV; but perfectly legal.

Actually it wasn’t, it was meant to imply that she’s still a filly and that the viewer would still be a predator, rather than just someone who likes her.
While that may be the case, she’s a mare in Scene Five, when love is confessed.

Well, by the end she’s a mare, so I’d think he’d still have the same amount of teeth, just less… feeling of personal safety if considering not to marry her.
