Yep. (Procedes to write a small novella in response)
But really tho, there’s like 3 things there you could reply to.
“Interesting”. But what am I supposed to do with that? Give it CPR while I rush it to the hospital? I think the prognosis on broken-neck Gwen/Twilight here is better than a conversion that gets one-word replies.
Yep. Sure is interesting.
…but the hand thing was kinda poetically neat, but ultimately I think a bit cheesy.

Interesting..?
Her neck broke in that fatal way in Spiderman. I guess it’s not really directly related to the little hand thing, but it kinda loosely is.
I guess the thought of, after dreaming of it for so many years and wondering if it’ll ever even happen, falling in reciprocated love with “the dream girl”, and then her dying like this is more than just a little disturbing, so I like to imagine I could’ve saved her somehow, so I wonder if what I said is realistic.
I like to imagine technology can solve any and all problems, but even if they can fix a hangman’s fracture in 10 years, there’s still plenty of injuries they won’t be able to fix for a long time.
I think the real moral of the story is “if you become a superhero don’t get your girlfriend involved in mortal combat with the super villain”, but wasn’t Spider-Man trying to do that? I mean, good for tragedy, but that really sucks.
Spiderpony: “Remember how I said to stay away from this stuff? Is this a bad time for ‘I told you so’?”
What did that have to do with my comment?
Actually, this makes me wonder…
The reason someone can die from a broken neck is if it’s a hangman’s break - in the upper cervicle vertabrea, making the person lose control of their diaphragm and thus be unable to breathe.
So, if you do “rescue breaths” or something like CPR/the Heimlich and get them to a hospital in time, couldn’t you save them?
Also I still feel somewhat disappointed that modern medical tech can’t repair nerve damage. I think they’re getting to it, though. Aren’t there prosthetics that respond to nervous stimuli? Makes me wonder why they can’t basically make a “wire” that takes in the stimuli and makes nervous output on the other end. Even though it messes up the signal, it should do it in a consistent way, so the brain could re-learn how to control that part of the body. I’d think, at least…
Edit: Googled around. Stuff 1 Stuff 2 from 2006 and 2008. Interesting… Also a news article
Even if she needs a breathing machine to live, if this is today, then who knows but that this kind of tech might allow her to walk again in 10 years?… /Edit
Also, Twi has wings, so falling shouldn’t really be fatal for her…
Edited
Am I the only one who liked that?!
Oh hello accidental apostrophe.
Unicorn’s become erect in death. That’s common knowledge.
She’s holding her head up :p
No this is the scene of when he had a nightmare of losing Twily the same way he lost Gwen.
