Wait, is this the Crystal Empire they’re at? Now that you mention it, the background really does look more like that rather than Canterlot like I originally thought. Or maybe I’m just stupid. Probably stupid.
I will admit, there are some things I don’t like how I handled in Illegal Heritage but for the most part, I enjoyed writing it and am working on two sequels.
For spoiler reasons, I will refrain from speaking more. I will warn you though that Velvet has kind of a temper problem in the story. It only pops up occasionally but it’s noticeable in some scenes.
Ah yes, I kind of came across that fic. Haven’t read it yet.

Same here actually. I see her taking after her father.
I know Velvet likes writing stories (according to her Gameloft profile) but I see her as being a government official of some kind. I’ve written a story pretty much about her parents, mostly her mother, and the family has a pretty high influence but Velvet has a connection to a secret worldwide organization that puts her magic prowess to use.
Yeah, I like to think it comes from her mother to.
But, I do like to think Twilight gets her book smarts more from her father. (I like to to think of him as a scientist.)
I embrace a headcanon that Twilight’s magic talent comes from her mother. Considering Twilight’s power, being an alicorn could put her at equal level to her mother, yet the mom has almost twice the amount of years of experience.
I have a big theory as to why I think it comes from the mother and not the father, but if I were to explain it here, it would probably need it’s own zipcode.
You know, other than ‘making’ the main character. ;)
Still, I’d be happy with at least a line, even if it was just one.
I can imagine some form of interactin with them if Shining Armor and Cadance have a kid. What grandparent wouldn’t want to see them? I doubt it will happen but hey, there is always fanfiction and fanart. I honestly wish they showed up more in those too.
I wish they had more speaking lines. I know they had them in the IDW comics but so far, their only appearences in the show has been like once a season cameos.
I also want to say I love these two, especially Velvet. :)
Nevermind, they probably had no significant impact on the show anyway.
Let’s see, they’ve gotten a few second cameos in a couple of episodes.
Rarity’s and Pinkie’s however are still the longest with whole scenes involving them.
