@Ferrotter
I guess if you’re under the assumption that colts just want sex, maybe the TrixiexSnips&Snails works that way, but it appeared more “we’re unicorns and she’s an awesome unicorn”.
@Minus
Rarity’s the same species as Twilight, and if anything she’s older than Twilight. Yet the Spike/Rarity ship, while not overtly sexual, is actually canon. (And like anything can possibly be so in a childrens’ cartoon. It’s actually among the most sexual relationships there is in the show. Maybe four relationships in the entire run of the show were more sexual, maybe: Carrot and Cup Cake, Cheerilee and Big Mac (and they were drugged), Shining Armor and Princess Cadance, and Fancy Pants and Fleur-de-Lis. Arguably Snips/Snails and Trixie was more sexual from S/S’s angle, but that was very much one-way.)
Geez, it’s like you’re saying that it is impossible for boys and girls to get along as friends, person who is preaching to the choir by making this screencap.
Very poor choice. They’re sort of family. Or they’re worker and boss. Also different species, and age…
If Twi and Spike were in an intimate relationship it’d be incredibly weird, so you are either trolling or just deranged.
Big Mac and Cherilee are a better example. Still not a great one though given how much was left uncertain.

True the message is good. But I think it’s getting sow voted because the choice of characters for example doesn’t fit.
Of course Twilight and Spike’s relationship is platonic seeing how they grew up as brother and sister. Because of their appearance, the message is more about “Step siblings can have the same amount of love for each other as regular siblings” then the message the post is trying to convey (if anything, they should of went with a Discord and Fluttershy instead for a better impact).
What’s with the downvotes? I think this is a nice message, especially with the prevalence of the idea that boys and girls can’t be friends without one or both of them developing feelings for each other that pervades cartoons.
Are you serious?

Sure, why not? Judging from some of the other images the owner of this tumblr posted, they’re living in a fantasy world anyway.
@Zennistrad
Consider who’s saying that.

Fine, I’m not serious.
Seriously.
For realzies.
Wait, are you saying he “hit the nail on the head?”
Please, for the love of God, tell me you’re not serious.

There goes your stupid theory.
Well most of these people still haven’t matured past “Boy’s are icky”
You needed a cartoon to prove that?
