I have never played D&D so I have no idea how it works, I was going more with things like Final Fantasy where you can use healing spells on most undead but the Lich is almost always going to not be unaffected.
Ah. I was going by tabletop RPGs. Dungeons & Dragons et. al.
Most RPGs I have played healing spells never work on a Lich(and most times it’s a boss), holy type attacks do but never healing.

Where are you getting this? I haven’t seen any version of the lich template that confers immunity to positive energy.
Only the thing is heal never works on a Lich, it’s at lest the only undead in a game that it won’t work on.
They basically used the old “heal spell on a zombie” trick. XD
