Its not about how long he will like MLP; Its looking at it 20 years from now, and remembering what MLP may have meant to him. For whatever reason, it is a huge part of his life right now and he will remember that feeling.

You sound like I triggered a nerve. I’d like to get a tat later on, but I’d want it to be something that I know I’ll like throughout my life, not something that I may lose interest decades later.

And no, I don’t really care. I’m just pointing it out that he possibly made a bad choice of a tattoo. It all depends on how long he’s into MLP.

Yeah, you’re definitely someone who has no ink. Every piece I have is something I have a passion for. After 30 years pass, the passion might not be the same, but you look back on it and think what a ride your life has been. Until you get ink for yourself you won’t understand.

Also, it’s not on you, so why do you care?

If you gotten a tattoo of something you like, and after 30 years have passed, after you moved on, you still have that tattoo and you will regret it.
If this guy stay a brony after all that time has passed, then good for him, but it’s just a bad idea to get a tattoo of something from a cartoon.

I don’t understand why people ask this question. And it’s always the person who doesn’t have any ink.

When you have a passion for something and you make it a part of you through ink, it doesn’t matter what it’ll be like in 20 years, or even 50 years. It’ll still have the same meaning to you as when you got it.
