I would see this working, if one considers Celestia and Luna sharing the position of Empress of Ponykind. The Mane Six taking the position of primarchs along with a few others.

Great art. I disagree about portraying her as a primarch. I only get a primarch vibe from Celestia and Luna. Cadance and Twilight aren’t established enough, and Discord is too ephemeral. He dissapears into puffs of smoke too often.
