Well if the ultimate result of this whole dark skyes debacle is that pukeypony get more recognition than i’d say that things ended on a high note.
I have to admit thats kind of awesome
She was the one at greatest risk in all this mess, but she walked out innocent, with more people having noticed her art and with $400 from some idiot that planned a scam/prank for months that fell apart in less than three days.
I know one was of the Chet stallion that’s in the KS video (though a different pose), but that’s all I Can recall.
If she was asked, say, a month ago to provide some example art for a possible pony project but just needed samples for a demo video, that would have been the fastest way to provide that.
Just reviewing her past work, I’m on the side of her being taken for the ride - long enough to make the prank work for MDE but not enough to cause legal harm.
And if it’s not a scam, then you’re just gonna feel silly for quitting. There is no way to win in this crazy situation.
Well, giving the artist the benefit of the doubt, they might not have known it wasn’t legit before.
Pretty sure this artist was involved in the creation of the scam, because most of the art in the video was just recolored versions of art from her DA gallery.
I remember this artist!
Yeah I think she/he made a good choice these people are probably clearly trying to scam people out of their money and it would suck if such a good artist also and innocent one gets sued for something she/he had nothing to do with and was just trying to support.
I am glad.
