Sweetie belle as anna
Well, if you make Rydia Twilight, then instead of an age-up it’s an alicornification.
And of course, if Shining Armor is Cecil, then Cadance would be Rosa.
Cid would probably just be a ponified version of Cid, though. Though I was actually thinking that AJ would be Yang, and Rarity and Sweetie Belle would be Palom and Porom, despite not being twins…
Though Rydia, Edge, Edward, Tellah, and Anna are a little hard for me to figure out… Especially Rydia, since she has to age up as part of the story.
Oh god… The CMC could be the Magus Sisters.
Aged Pound and Pumpkin being the Mage Twins…
Dash as Kain…
Granny Smith as Tellah, thus placing one of the random Apples as Anna and Trenderhoof as Edward…
STOP ME, DAMMIT!
…That would… actually make for a pretty interesting fanfic, actually. Especially if it wasn’t just a carbon copy of the game’s plot.
But Cadance appeared in PFVI, so there really isn’t any excuse…
I do hear that they swapped a lot of skillsets around, though… Like, Apple Bloom plays Locke’s role in the story, but she has Edgar’s Tool set…
Though to be honest, since I’ve heard that PFVI is MUCH harder than the original game (Espers don’t increase your stats, for one thing), I’d probably only watch LPs of it…
Eh… I’m pretty sure PFVI was started before SA was introduced in show and they were going with what they had at the time. Though honestly, Zecora matches Strago more.
Yeah.
…By the way, don’t you find it weird that the “Pony Fantasy VI” thing didn’t use Shining Armor as General Leo’s counterpart, since Twilight was Terra’s? I mean, how fitting would that have been? Shining Armor feeling guilty about what happened to Twilight because, well, she’s his freaking SISTER. Instead… Zecora? Really?
Sounds like the kind of dungeon that screams “Veldt farming” to control stat poisoning. Or Paladin Shield duplication :P
You run into the first upgraded dragon within the first few steps. It’s the upgraded Ice Dragon, who is now 4 enemies at once, but with the sprites overlaid so that it still appears as one, like some of the enemies in Kefka’s Tower. From what I understand, many of the other upgraded dragons are also brutal, particularly the Holy Dragon.
Never ran DD, which is odd since FFVI is my favorite. Kefka is best pon… er, villain. Was DD really that hard?
Yeah the Sealed Temple was a pain only got about halfway Which reminds me it’s kind of a good thing you skipped it since there’s a whole maze full of nothing but Omega robots in there. plus stronger versions of both him and Shinryu.
When I finally managed to beat Shinryu, I ran around my room screaming, “SUCK IT, SHINRYU! SUUUUUUUCK IT!”
…Though I ultimately decided not to do the Sealed Temple after getting my ass kicked by some of the random encounters there. Same deal with the Dragon’s Den in the GBA version of VI.
I did know the trick to beating Omega I must have had just rotten luck since every single time I fought him he’d do that mustard bomb move that would pretty much one shot you. Your right about Shinryu forgot about how nasty that one could be.
Nah, I’d say Shinryu’s worse. With Omega, you can do the “Thundaga Spellblade + Rapid Fire + Dual Wield” combo to quickly beat it if you’re high leveled enough. Shinryu has no such tricks. And you pretty much HAVE to have Coral Rings equipped on all four party members or you WILL die to Shinryu’s opening attack. The strategy I used to beat Shinryu was, “Cast Berserk on it so it can’t use its spells, and then have three party members pummel it while the last one summons Golem on every turn, because Shinryu’s Berserk-increased attack power will destroy the Golem after just one attack.”
Huh never knew that might have to try that next time I play that game. I have to say though the toughest boss in the GBA version of Final Fantasy 5 would have to be Omega. And what’s worse is in the bonus dungeon in that game there’s a whole maze full of them.
But what’s really weird is that, despite some of the easy tricks you can use to beat him, Neo Exdeath has a reputation as being one of the hardest final bosses in the entire series.
But you know what I think is THE easiest Final Fantasy final boss? Kefka and the tiers you face before him. Just spam Ultima, and have a character like Locke equipped with the Master’s Scroll and Genji Glove relics, the Ultima Weapon in one hand, and another powerful weapon in the other, and you can beat him before he even has a chance to use his Forsaken move.
*X-Death
How did I manage that mistake?
S-Death was cake, sure, but easiest was Sephiroth… all of his forms. Kill points and predictable patterns if you PLAYED the game, or one-shot Safer if you left Cloud at low level.
I played the DS version of this game, which is considered the hardest version, and I managed to beat Zeromus on my first try. Twice.
And if you summon Odin with the Magic Lamp (and only if you do so with the Magic Lamp), it instantly takes out Neo Exdeath’s back portion.
Only one I thought was easier that that was X-Death in 5 just spammed the samurai classes coin toss to hit each of his parts for about 6000 damage per throw
Never had a problem fighting Zeromus but i do love his battle theme
