I agree. So would Twilight be the exact opposite? Nothing about how Spike built them up suggested the Masked Matter-horn was the 2nd weakest of the group, and the kind of powers she had were straight up her alley…
 
But maybe that’s the thing…their powers, not magic. Maybe she’s just weak-willed? I mean she IS the least self-reliant. (no Celestia, no purpose in life). I love Twilight, but its one of her biggest flaws.

My Little Pony - 1992 Edition

I’m not sure that Spike or any of the Mane Six could’ve used their “real world” abilities while in the comic book. The book apparently puts you “into the character”, meaning you only have that character’s skills and powers. Spike, getting stuck with Humdrum’s character, got Humdrum’s abilities (or lack thereof). Fortunately, our intrepid little dragon knew how to make the best of a bad situation.

What’s for sure? She’s forgotten to use her magic on several episodes, so why should this be any different? As in, where was her teleportation when the cragodile cornered her?
