Oh yeah, or why not Frankensteining and repainting some dolls that are already available at thrift stores?
Sooner or later, the EG dolls will be on clearance or found in a thrift store or even a garage sale. Then, it will be worth it to go full Frankenstein!
Lols thing is is matching body colours, plus the neck hole of the EQG dolls are so tiny they’re like 1/16 of an inch wide so they’re not good to swap unless you alter it PLUS spending extra money on this expensive pieces of crap is something I do NOT wanna do. So yeah, even though I’m proud of this custom, I don’t wanna spend any more money on it, don’t wanna buy anymore Equestria Girls dolls and recommend how unsalvageable these things are.

So, what a customiser can do?
Hmmm…. Why not put a EG head on a Bratz body?
To be fair, with ‘proper’ clothes on, the Equestria Girls don’t have those power hips since the molded top is bulky and just makes the dolls look like hipless things. Plus the legs are just shapeless tubes and generally the body is awfully sculpted. Even the deluxe dolls look kind of awful in clothing because of the molded clothing interferes badly with how the fabric lays on the doll.
I saw a naked EG doll somewhere around here. God, what the hell… Will never buy, even on sale.
Anyway, why not give her a little belt. You know, to give her back her power-hips?
That dress is a La Dee Da outfit, and it’s the only thing that fits her and covers up her odd body. I quite like the cut of it since it’s girly and retro but still is better made than the scrap that she came with.
Also, what the hell is that dress? A potato sack? True, the horrible proportions of that body need to be hidden but still.
To all EG customisers. The EG dolls are horrible and cannot be salvaged. Find a better doll type to customise and make the mane six!
