Predator species tend to have better motion sensitive vision (the black and white bit) than they do colour vision. Since the Tyrannosaur was an Apex Predator, it’s not unreasonable to say they were completely colourblind.

Yeah, but that could easily be fooled, since they had next to no colour receptors. You could hide a man in an orange jumpsuit in a forest with no issues.
