You know, with those shades on the doll doesn’t look half bad.  
Which makes me think that the eyes are the most off-putting feature. And since they are basically painted on they are probably the easiest to change.  
Hasbro should get RIGHT ON THAT.
 
Someone should at least try to do a custom mod…

The thing is that the artwork on the back isn’t from the movie. It actually looks good regardless. Why isn’t the doll based on that?

Do they honestly have her actual human character design on the back of the box?

My deeply nuanced philosophical opposition to Equestria Girls ( “HOERS NOT MUNKY” ) aside, these are really awful toys. The designs themselves I wouldn’t mind at all if they didn’t have MLP on them— they’re pretty standard Oddly Proportioned Fashion Dolls, nothing offensive there— but Lauren’s Quill, they are cheap cheap cheap hunks of plastic. Nothing fits right, the plastic itself is either brittle or way too flopsy, and the whole thing feels like a flimsy Chinatown knockoff. The humanized Celestia character designs on the box art are actually pretty good; I think they’d have been much better off using that art style than what they actually went with.
