Oh dear lord. THE FAT IS CLIMBING OVER THE FENCE.

I don’t know why people think tattoo’s have to be so serious. Most people who get tattoos aren’t getting them for memorials or… whatever people think they should be. It’s a form of expression, it can be anything they want, and it’s in a place where it wouldn’t bother or be seen my employers, so I dunno what’s wrong with this. It’s well done too. If you don’t like MLP tattoos, don’t get one, but don’t gotta call people stupid for doing it.

That will be fun to show the boys in the prison this tat. What an idiot.

Unlike some other brony tattoos I’ve seen, I really like this one and think it’ll still be pretty cool in a few years.

I agreed with you up until that last paragraph. If this show and its fandom was just a “fad” it would have died out by now. Despite what /mlp/ thinks, it hasn’t.
 
Now I certainly don’t see any of the Pony conventions being around in ten years, and EQD will probably either be gone or moved onto Gen5, but I wouldn’t be shocked in the least if people still talk about FiM, maybe even creating the occasional piece of fanart (people still make fanart of plenty of cartoons that haven’t aired in years).

It’s one thing getting the cutie mark but, this is just too much.

Looking back? Why would you want something like this on you for so many years after the show would probably move on anyways? Are you that obsessed with MLP to make lifestyle choices that prioritize a cartoon before any real-life possibilities in the future?
 
This show/fandom is a fad, not a lifestyle. If you take it as a lifestyle, you deserve and better be ready for the criticism that comes to you down the road.

It’s a well-done tattoo…
 
But I can’t help but think it’ll be something of an old shame a few years down the line. Permanent means permanent.

I know a guy who got a Rainbow Dash tattoo (it was the “heart-pony” pose). Of course, he’s not exactly known for his careful consideration of consequences.

I think if I get one like that, I would be able to look back at with fondness of everything that’s come of this fandom
