I don’t remember if they consider themselves such, but just ‘cause somebody isn’t either popular party, doesn’t mean they’re all “libertarians.” There’s also “moderates,” and third-party people, and probably other things, as well.

I think it’s because Trey Parker and Matt Stone are both libertarians (neither liberal nor conservative).

-And/Or the writers’ I’m told, but yeah he got kinda annoying when he started spouting political-commentary, and disdain for anything that’s not a left-wing ideal. The political preachyness is part of the reason I got tired of the show, and they rarely seem to poke fun at their own side like other shows do.

I just hope when Seth Macfarlane’s new “Flintstones” remake animated sitcom series comes out, (which he claims he’s going to try to keep it more “family-friendly” like the original show) doesn’t have Deno the dogasaur ranting about politics, or complaining about the “Religious-Right” constantly…

I’ll admit that was kinda funny, sense his rant was supposedly based off real fan complaints about Brian. (Sense they kinda “Flanderized” Brian into a pretty unlikeable character.)
