More people might know it since lower receivers have been in the news more recently. The Santa Monica shooter evaded background checks by getting an 80% lower receiver and the rest of the parts separately. There’s also a project under way to make a 3-D printed lower receiver that will survive a few shots, thereby cutting out expense, middlemen and time between crazy jerkbags and the lethal weapons they desire.
 
(Congratulations, Cody Wilson of the University of Texas! Few human beings can say with such certainty that they have contributed so significantly to a clear degradation of the welfare of humanity.)

Yet oddly many know and want. Their first sergeants and XOs would die, but maybe the armorer would just match up the cutie marks. I’m 50/50.

Sadly, very few people will know what this is.
