She also took plenty of delight in abusing her villagers. She also blaster Rainbow with magic multiple times. And frankly, she was mostly doing the Our Town thing for herself. Its also worth once again noting that she still needed more convincing after seeing the doomed future.

Discord was a grown adult. He never needed to hurt others to survive. He knew better because he personally met other ponies and even after taking that second chance, he still did horrible things afterwards.

Cozy, was never given a second chance to take, never really saw the consequences of her actions, the goal of which I will remind you was not to kill, but to subjugate and while yes, she did enjoy doing evil things, that is far from proof that she’s irredeemable as every villain took clear enjoyment out of that, reformed or otherwise. She also never killed anyone, which you cannot prove. And frankly, she was never given any chance to learn anything because the first thing they did was toss her in Tartarus without trying to reform her.

Starlight enjoyed her actions when taking revenge on Twilight but was devastated when she learned of the consequences, this is because ultimately she never really intended to hurt anyone but Twilight. The village, as messed up as it was, wasn’t an act born of malice. She genuinely thought she was helping those ponies.

Discord is a being born of chaos, it’s all he knows, and when he was offered a chance to change, he took it.

Cozy Glow bragged, enjoyed causing suffering despite knowing the consequences, like killed ponies in that explosion, and quite literally learned nothing.

I think somepony should inform Pim about why Cozy Glow is petrified before he finishes dialing CPS.

Yes, at first. After that, they were given a second chance and plenty of help and convincing from Twilight and Fluttershy respectively. Cozy was not given any sort of help or second chances the first and second times.

As for circumstances, Starlight enslaved an entire village, which included foals all because a friend of hers moved away when she was little then proceeded to try a petty revenge scheme that almost doomed all of Equestria (and might have based on how time travel works). She only decided to change because Twilight actively had to help her do so. As for understanding the effects of her actions, yes, she was shocked at seeing the ruined world, but shortly after that she still almost ripped the scroll despite knowing what effects that would have. If she still needed convincing after that, then she wasn’t a very good person to begin with.

Discord is a 1000 year old adult. He should know better by default. He has feelings, yet still chose to hurt ponies, even after his imprisonment and he did it for fun. And that’s not even mentioning the stuff he pulled after he got reformed. As for the whole disheartening thing, causing chaos does not have to be in the way he did it. I need to eat to survive, but would that justify eating a human? A rather crazy example, I know, but Discord was no different. He hurt and betrayed ponies willingly despite having plenty of opportunities, including an entire dimension to do chaos at his own leisure without bothering anyone.

And your calling out Cozy for enjoying her actions while Discord, and frankly Starlight also did so? And how is twilight’s words supposed to be an offer of a second chance or in any way telling her why she is wrong? It all equates to “no your wrong”. Hardly an argument, especially considering everything the reformed villains got away with.

How do you know anyone died? As far as we know, it didn’t hit the city directly and nobody was there. Can you prove it? By that logic, I could say that Discord’s reign caused a fair number of deaths because I doubt his chaos world would have been safe to live in and I don’t think he’s be paying attention to every living being in it.

Key phrase there is “at first.” Each did eventually show a willingness to change, and made the choice to on their own. They also had different circumstances, Starlight was angry at the world and thought she was doing the right thing, the second time she let her emotions get the better of her and didn’t understand the effects of what she was doing, she was devastated when she realised what her actions caused, she made the choice to try and change. With Discord it was all that he knew, and we know he has to be chaotic or he’ll die. Though he did enjoy it too much, he also made the choice to change.

Cozy Glow delighted in the suffering she caused, bragged about doing it again, and refused to learn anything. Twilight DID tell her why she was wrong. “You’re the one who doesn’t get it, Cozy. Friendship is powerful, but power isn’t why you make friends. I’m sorry I couldn’t teach you that.”

Also, she helped half of the capital off of the mountain, there is no way that no-one died in that.

No she wasn’t. Twilight never offered Cozy any sort of second chance nor did she try to convince her why her way of thinking was wrong. All she did was essentially say she was wrong, but not why. Cozy was, in effect, given no reason to change during that part.

And no, the reformed villains showed 0 willingness to change at first. Starlight came back for revenge, Discord straight up mocked the ponies for releasing him. They needed help and proper work went into trying to rehabilitate them before they finally started to change. Cozy got none of that.

She was offered in the season 8 finale, to which she said, and i quote “Honesty? Loyalty? Generosity? Blah-blah-blah! I can make more friends without using any of them! And if I can’t do it here, I’ll do it somewhere else!” When given the opportunity to reflect, she doubled down.

The difference between her and the other reformed villains, Trixie, Starlight, Luna etcetera, is that they all showed willingness to change, and put effort into bettering themselves. Something Cozy never did.

Her actions were no worse then what the reformed villains did and she was never given a chance at redemption. Also, there is no proof that she killed anyone.

She deserved this. She willingly aided them, she literally said she’d do it again, rejected redemption, and is likely responsible for many deaths when she helped blow half of Canterlot off of the mountain. I am sick of you people giving her a pass on her actions.

Once she’s free again, it will be them who need protection
