Why is people even surprised?  
The first brony is born in /co/, it was raised in /b/ and now live in /mlp/.  
And the last brony when this show will be forgotten and sites like derpiboruu will be no more, will post his last words in /b/.

…just like there are genuinely smart fans that post everywhere. Like I’ve said before, I don’t have a problem with /mlp/ or other fansites, I just prefer to use this one since I prefer the -booru format to the imageboard format.
 
Also, I’m going to have to disagree with you on the “anti-Faust attitudes”, since most, if not all people (myself included) are highly appreciative of her and her work on MLP. As I’ve said time and again: People need to get out of this false-dichotomy mindset where you are “either one, or the other”. “You are either a Faust-worshipper, or a Faust-hater”
 
I don’t know about you personally, but I don’t fall into an easily defined dichotomous catagory…except for when it comes to the Mass Effect 3 ending, or course

I’ve noticed a bit of an uptake in Faust-resentment here and at other sites too. People act like they are just “opposing faust worshippers,” but in the end they resort to belittling Lauren Faust and act like she was just in the right place at the right time to take credit for making the show.
 
She already had to give up her show. Isn’t that enough to go through, without the fandom acting as if the show was never hers to begin with?

Meanwhile, at Derpibooru, I read many comments going “well, screw Faust, I never liked her and lousy feminism, shame on her,” and people here in general being rude pricks. We even had one of our mods cursing Faust for expressing her opinion on Twitter and “spreading drama”. I’m sorry, but which site is the pitiful one again?  
I’m surprised we don’t have a “faust visits /mlp/ drama” tag at this point, honestly.

Lauren basically said that /mlp/ is the best place to go if you want to find honest critiques. You may have to sort through a lot of crap to find good ones, but there are some genuinely smart fans who post there.

True. One of /MLP/‘s biggest strengths is that it offers such a broad cross section of the fandom. No-one it’s afraid to ask honesty questions, which sometimes happens on other sites.
 
I intentionally abstained from the thread here with Sibsy. I have already said enough unflattering things about EQG and the show’s current direction, and I am pretty sure I had nothing of value to contribute to that conversation. Even someone as outspoken as me is governed by a degree of internet etiquette here if the show’s staff is participating.
 
On 4chan though, they don’t hold back anything. It takes a thick skin for someone like Lauren to go there, so I applaud her courage and willingness to participate.

And therein lies the glory.

I think she chose /mlp/ over all the MLP sites because it’s a open site were you never know what you are going to find. She take the riske and start to talk seriously with a bunch of anon’s and they react in a good way (and were talking about 4chan), is better than talk to people who knows how is gonna react and turns worse.
