Lol yeah basically just a spirit animal attached to him, familiars are traditionally more like a creature bound to a magic user to lend them extra Mana.

But Lux is more of a summonable companion fight alongside of him and basically as a pet yes just magical lol

I like how you drew his paws and the dirty hiking trail where they’re walking on is rather well done in my opinion. Also I’d love to draw backgrounds like that Dx
