To me a ripoff is when you copy something and make NO changes to set it apart in amyway, a shameless carbon copy, saying nothing is original is one thing but to say it’s okay to be the exact same with everything is not okay.
And that’s what I’m getting of super Klonoa, same thing without trying to make it any different, it’s not that it’s unoriginal it’s that’s it’s not even trying to be it’s own version of a super form.
Well, honestly, if you ask me, everything’s a ripoff of everything else. Nothing is original.
But that’s a story for another time.
Carry on.
They won’t. They’re like a music producer: everyone but them gets screwed over whenever they do something.
…Yeah, you do have a point there. That, and wings. Wings sell, alright. lol
But Hasbro could always change its priorites in the future. We’ll just have to see, shall we?
It’s not a fanon thing becoming canon that cheapens it, not if used well when put into canon, it’s when it’s a fanon thing made just to be like something for another series with nothing to set it apart, I can take super Dash as before I ever saw it I saw the ideas of all the main six becoming alicorns(to me super dash is a step down in power for that so it’s fine), from what I see of super Klonoa… all I can really find for why it was made is to be like super Sonic… and if a fan of Klonoa really thinks that a better thing then it cheapen Klonoa for me if one of it’s fans is more sallow in his reasion to make a super form for him the people that won’t even try the game thinking it’s a Sonic ripoff just from how Klonoa looks.
@SuperKlonoa
You know, you both make interesting points, but neither of you are right, from a corporate point of view.
Heroes apparently don’t sell toys. The colour pink and tiaras sell toys. So they wouldn’t make any character have a super form for that reason.
…I don’t exactly see how a fanon thing becoming canon would cheapen it for you. I mean, MLPFiM has already canonized some fanon in terms of names and such, but…meh. =/
Eh, at this point anyway, I think Super Dash is more likely than Super Klonoa to become canon anyway… Who really knows what Namco Bandai is doing with him, anyway, other than the webcomic with him? shrug
To you maybe, but to me the fact is the game is just fine and to make a super form for him does cheapen it for me as it’s not needed.
With Super Sonic it first cam about in the games, not in fan works, if it did then Super Sonic would cheapen the old Sonic games for me.
To me if the fan to make super Klonoa need a super form to be as cool to his as super Sonic the it’s cheapening Klonoa to me.
It doesn’t cheapen Klonoa’s games anymore than Super Sonic does.
If anything, have it as an endgame bonus. I wouldn’t mind that. =)
Autism is not a synonym for retard.
Get it right for once, for the love of god.
Blaze doesn’t need to leave her world to use the Sol Emeralds. Play Rush Adventure.
Fuck off, come back when your parents finally kick you out.
But this is a children’s show. The protagonist isn’t supposed to be a uniform and a funny mustache away from being Hitler with superpowers.
Why do I always put am ‘a’ in place of the first ‘o’?
I never said anything about if she was a good or bad character, just that she is the protagonist as she’s the principal character of the show.
That’s something I wish more people understand, a protagonist is the principal character, not the hero, not the best character, but the principal one, the one the story fallows.
And yet, she is far from being a typical children’s show protagonist, having quite possibly less morality than the first two-three actual villains. She is a manipulative, sociopathic noble with no concept of hardship since everything she ever could want was provided since about her seventh or eighth full lungful of air, and she has no problems with torture and genocide so long as she’s the one doing it. In ‘Too Many Pinkies’, she, instead of looking for an alternative to psychological torture of what amounts to infants followed shortly by genocide, thinks ‘it’s the first solution I found, it was in a book, it must be right’ and just rolls with it, and comes up with an incredibly risky plan that only works on the fact that the clones had the attention span of a young child, which is exactly how most describe Pinkie.
Oh not that AGAIN…
I got into this fact earlier today, a protagonist is NOT a hero, it if the main character that you fallow in the story, a villein can be the protagonist.
But about why Twilight is the protagonist, it that she is the one we fallow the most, fit into a heroic archetype or not does not matter to if she is the protagonist.
Meh. The guy who came up with it sees it more as a balancing sort of thing for his crossovers.
And on an unrelated note, why is Twilight considered the protagonist when her friends actually fit into more heroic archetypes than she does? She’s never really struck me as particularly heroic, she doesn’t even seem to fit with the archetype of your friendly neighborhood archmage, seeing as she practices potentially lethal spells which require her full focus and attention in a crowded cafe during a lunch rush. Can’t she see that there’s something wrong with that?
Ya, I used to read the comics, still it just is so WRONG to me to see a super Klonoa…
Still, why do only Hedgehogs get the designated hero ticket? And it becomes even more insulting when even a purple cat with restraint issues (basically a royal furry version of that girl from Hellboy) and has to leave the dimension every time gets to use the all powerful gemstones while everyone else has to deal with being ridiculously under appreciated because they only think Sonic should use the all powerful shiny. Really, in the comics, Knuckles became a god. Twice. And both of those turned out less horribly than what would have happened if anyone else got that power.
Ya, I know it doesn’t make sense, but I rather have it canon and not used then being fan made and making the experience I had playing the games fell like it’s been violated by people thinking it has to be like to fit what they think is cool.
With Super Dash I only found the design of her JUST having her coat go white, and maybe her main stick up, was lame.
Still, Why? Tails at least has an excuse since Flickies don’t appear in the storyline anymore, But Knuckles, the GUARDIAN of the Master Emerald, has no excuse. Hell, he can pretty much thwart Eggman’s plans remotely from his newly-rebuilt sanctuary any time he likes.
