Using an actual gingerbread house to represent a token copy of the Cottage isn’t necessary, but hey, points for style.

I’m looking more at corner cases, like if it somehow enters the battlefield when there are no lands to copy or its ETB ability is suppressed. (There are no “artifacts lose all abilities” cards I can find, but you can imagine scenarios where it becomes a land or a creature before its own ability can apply.)

Phil actually suggested a version that did have the Food ability on its own, but I decided against it. If you’re in a situation where you need to pay four mana to gain 3 life, you’re probably not going to win anyway.

One thing to note: because the Food ability isn’t inherent to the Food subtype (the way basic land types’ “{T}: Add {M}” are), if Cookie Cottage enters the battlefield without copying a land, it will not have that ability.
No eating the gingerbread straight out of the box.
