Coming back to this after two years, and I just noticed her bullet got reflected, not only that, but straight into a headshot, so yeah, she’s dead. And that also means that the riot gear is impenetrable to anything less than… I dunno. But it’s probably reflecting the shot back with 8KJ of force, I’m not sure what that would be the equivalent of…
its call removing a treat to your powerbase, they was a treat to there power because they was working outside the system to fix problem. like the start of it they don’t want people to know each other they want them to fight each other.
I was very fond of Enjolras, as was my partner, but the moment he was named we all kinda knew he would meet this fate.
In fact, Atom seems to be the only survivor of this particular raid…
The sad thing is that “less lethal” rounds, when they kill you, do it in far slower and more painful ways than a bullet.
There’s a reason why this stuff is now called “less lethal” instead of non-lethal. I remember several years ago there was a protest in Germany against a railway project and the police used water cannons. On poor guy got hit in the face and is now almost completely blind. There was a bit of a public uproar but then – as always – it died down.
I truly wish I could un-see it.
It is an unfortunate reality of “less lethal” munitions. Years ago I saw the aftermath of what happened when someone wearing a bike helmet was hit in the back of the head with a launcher fired flashbang and CW:gruesome it nearly opened up the back of the guys head
Well, at least they’re in a setting where replacing eyes should be a thing right?
She definitely looks like she’s been at least temporarily blinded, it’s probably permanent, though, as you said.
Assuming she even survives this. She took some kind of riot munition to the face, that is often fatal and at the very least will permanently maim her. Lot of folks IRL have lost eyes and more to less lethal rounds
So I suppose I just made an oopsie. Or worse.
For a start, body armor of that quality is effectively completely immune from handgun rounds.
Which begs the question: Let’s assume there’s four cops and a robot. How many civilians, each armed with a .352 Magnum (the 6-shot handgun from HL2) and nothing more, would it take to overwhelm the four cops and robot mentioned above, assuming everyone was involved simultaneously? More or less than the entire population of Burkina Faso (21 million)?
to be clear when we say the cop’s aren’t using guns that does not make them unarmed. Instead you can see in both this panel and the next that they are in fact so heavily geared that there is effectively no risk to them at all.
Edited because: Referenced wrong comment
I don’t see how an unprovoked raid is anything but being trigger happy. Like real world raids, you can’t instagate violence and not expect violence in return.
