Description

fulltime assassin and head of the Massacre Clean Up Crew. You need to get rid of bodies quick? She’s right up your alley.
I changed her name so now she’s Magdalena Valentino, or Razor. She prefers the later.
I remember writing a story for her where she was given up to an orphanage when she was five by Child Protective Services after they took her away from her neglectful dad. Where’s her mom? Probably dead, or probably not. Who knows! Her guess is as best as yours. Razor had it rough growing up with her dad, she was very malnourished, so sometimes she’d resort to dumpster diving or stealing fruits from a nearby farm. The people around her didn’t give much care to her well being and only saw her as a nuisance.
She felt extremally out of place when she arrived at the orphanage, due to her lack of social skills and perceiving everything around her as a threat she’d lash out at the other kids around her, resulting in her quickly being alienated. Maybe it was the stress of being in a new place, maybe it was being around unfamiliar faces, or maybe she just needed a distraction from all the awful awful emotions she didn’t understand, but later on she started to kill animals.
I all started with a small spider, she thought how funny it looked and why it had so many legs. People only needed two to walk, four at most, but to have eight? Now that’s just overdoing it. She wanted to know if the spider could still walk if it had less legs then it currently did. She pulled them off one, by one by one. Until the poor thing wouldn’t move anymore. She kept doing that to other spiders she found, then to beetles, then to lizards, birds, mice, kittens, anything she could get her hands on really. If it was alive she wanted to take it apart, of course she didn’t know that would kill them! So she’d try to put them back together, tape, thread, cloth, glue. She never understood for a while why they weren’t moving even after she put them back.
Later on she kept doing it to other things she found, if it squirmed in her hands she’d want to take it apart. At some point she kept doing it out of boredom, at some point she forgot that they were living things that could feel pain.
One day one of the orphanage kids caught her taking apart a crow, they ran back screaming to the caretakers. Razor got scolded severely for this, she was confused, she didn’t understand why these adults were mad at her. She always did as she was told, but now all of a sudden they’re mad? She was just minding her own business, why did the kid had to bother her. She felt her heart squeeze and face turn red.
Razor wasn’t allowed to go outside without supervision, and now she had to sit in a room for an hour with this lady everyday. The lady would ask her weird questions, but she didn’t want to answer any. She hated it, she hated being watched, she liked being on her own. The adults started to force her to play with the other kids, but she didn’t want to, she didn’t even like them and she knew they didn’t like her. The anger was boiling and boiling and boiling in her until at some point she snapped.
Seeing the face of the kid that got her in this trouble let it all lose, she didn’t remember much of what happened but one moment she was sitting on a chair then next she was on top of the kid pulling their hair out chunk by chunk and scratching their face wanting to tear apart their limbs like she did to all the animals she found. It took four adults to pry her away from the poor kid.
They strapped her on to a bed in a dark room, she remembered shouting and seeing red, then to suddenly feeling very very sleepy.
When she woke up she wasn’t in the dark room anymore, or at the orphanage. Next to her sat a tall man in a chair reading a book. She tired to get up and run but her body felt so heavy.
“Hello there young Miss” said the man, his voice smooth and to her surprise not angry.
“You had a bad day today didn’t you?” he asked.
She stayed silent and then nodded.
“You’d want to tell me what happened that made you so upset?”
Razor remembered the conversation on that day vividly, everything after that felt great. Better even! She continued to stay at the tall man’s place, which weirdly enough had other people in it, with tall walls and white coats. They were always muttering things under their breath, and writing things down on a board. She rarely got scolded, and they even let her ‘play’ with animals like she always did. Sometimes they’d give her animals to take apart.
Apparently from what I’ve gather from the caretakers of her previous orphanage was that, the head of the orphanage called an organization that specialized in troubled children. What they’d do is they take the ‘problematic’ kids and turn them into upstanding citizens. So far all of the children that were sent there grew up and had no trouble integrating into society. As far as they know, they all are living normal lives.
That’s what they know of course.
