I remember not liking this at the time it was first posted. Since ya know, his design suits him damn nicely. It was tiring seeing hate for a change that made him look uncool, when that was the best look for him. I’m still as big a Thorax fan as then.

But now I can look at this and laugh.

That’s basically how you reupload a picture on Derpibooru. You cannot reupload “directly”. You need to upload the newer version as a new image and then request a merge.

This copy had some touch-up work done by the artist (some lines were cleaned up and chrysalis’ tongue was uncolored)

Honestly, I just think that Thorax’s head and legs should’ve been a darker shade of green and also had that sparklely stuff that’s on his wings, tail, and torso.
 
It would’ve been a ok look that’s still similar to the original changelings.

It doesn’t make it more tragic, it makes them an unsolvable problem not worth trying to compromise with. Which the show ‘fixed’ by gutting the whole system.
 
That’s like the titans in Attack Of, that eat humans not because there’s any nutritional benefit, but because their dull minds get pleasure from it. That doesn’t make me sad for them, that makes me hate them more.

You think the confirmation that changelings are emotional vampires who can never be satiated is pointless? I’d call that an extremely significant revelation.
 
It adds a note of tragedy to their situation, for me at least.

You don’t even need much more time to establish a conflict between them. Say for maybe they could’ve took out the dumb scene where Chrysalis has making her It’s All About Me speech and the changelings were fully supporting her anyway they could’ve had a scene where some changelings are looking hesistant about what they’re actually doing. That can literally be 5secs but it would’ve done a whole lot more for their image than blame Chrysalis for anything.

You did nothing but prove my point on why it did nothing but victimize them and put the blame on Chrysalis. While I do like how she didn’t redeem herself it completely takes the choice the changelings had in the end because again it pushes all the blame on Chrysalis which is really odd because they seemed to be enjoying what they were doing.
