They didn’t want to change at first though and as pointed out by some people, them suddenly wanting to change as let’s say the witches finally getting a taste for freedom and everyone else’s influence around the Smonies is very jarring and out of the blue.
True, the Terrible Trio even said that once they conquered Equestria they would turn on eachother. They were allies, nothing more. Being allies doesn’t mean your friends, it means you hate someone more than the other and want them gone.
Are you seriously comparing five characters who wanted to change with three selfish monsters?
While it’s hot. Maybe it will be ironically the mane 5 who would redeem the trio.
With the massive success of Spider-Man No Way Home, the upcoming Doctor Strange in The Madeness of The Multiverse, The Flash and many others, I’m more then certain multiverse theme is going to be a new trend for media. So yes, I’m sure they will explore this.
I wouldn’t mind exploring the multiverse though.
G4 already ended perfectly with Season 9’s “The Last Problem”.
Maybe, g4 may be gone but there are some loose ends they need to tie. We got everything already, just holes in a plot. I don’t mind them moving on to g5 but g4 did conclude messily.
I doubt that. Judging by what Hasbro is doing, they are going full G5. In Comics, tv shows, specials, and youtube shorts.
Since IDW has kept the license for the My Little Pony comic books, there is the possibility that G4 could be revisited with a new comic book miniseries at the same time they are releasing the G5 comic books.
Knowing IDW, if they keep the comic rights in years to come, The Terrible Trio will be the main antagonists for a inevitable crossover with G5. I can already see them either trying to go to the future and set up shop, or use what they can from the future to conquer the past.
Which reminds me, the trio are either still stoned or on the loose.
Better than turning them to stone.
