Exactly! One way or another, he was directly involved with all three OT movies, as well as all three PT movies. I honestly don’t know why Disney thought it would be a good idea to have three different directors and three different writers working on the sequel trilogy. What they should have done is get one director to work on all three films. At least that way you wouldn’t have the issue of the ideas of one director going against the ideas of another director, and the trilogy would have felt more consistent than it ended up being.

But wasn’t the original trilogy directed by mutiple directors? Lucas only directed A New Hope, Empire(the best SW movie) and ROTJ were directed by two other guys.

Okay, first of all it is quite surprising to get a response to a comment I wrote a full year ago. Funny how time flies when you’re having fun…
Secondly, you may have a point with that. While there is the possibility that the Lucas sequel trilogy wouldn’t have been great, I would argue that it would have been at least more consistent than what we got with the Disney sequel trilogy, since you wouldn’t have multiple directors and story writers fighting over their own plot lines. Instead you would have had one consistent story split into three distinct chapters, just as you had in the prequel trilogy (the tone was pretty consistent throughout all things considered). Even if it was a bad story, it would have at least been a single story instead of three separate stories glued together.

And considering most of the good stuff about the Prequel Trilogy was the Expanded Universe stuff that Lucas DIDN’T write, it’s likely that his “true vision” for the Sequel Trilogy would have sucked major ass.
This is the man that gave us Jar Jar, “I don’t like sand”, and an entire galaxy going to war over a tax dispute. The thought that he could have done better than Disney is ludicrous.

I’ll never forgive Disney for what they did to Star Wars, but %$^& me if new Ducktales isn’t completely glorious. I grew up on my dad’s old collection of Carl Barks comics from the 1950s, and Ducktales 2017 is a perfect descendant of them, the Don Rosa era, and a crapton of other bits of Disney history. Not to mention Akira references alongside the Astroboy tribute. It’s nice Disney is honoring Osamu Tezuka after the bastards so shamelessly ripped off Kimba the White Lion.

And considering what “Uke” means in Japanese, I have a strong suspicion that the “Uke or Puke” arcade game Dewey was playing was a rather filthy joke making reference to the infamous “Kancho” arcade game.
