I’m not quite to 30 yet, but I totally agree.
Many of my friends from high school (though oddly not too many from college) have kids. I’ve never had much of any desire for them. It’s actually a tough situation to be in because society has an expectation – at least in this area – that a person of my age have spawned or at the very least be actively planning on it. I’ve done neither. I don’t like young kids.
To be honest, it’s not a subject I enjoy discussing, because so often people will just dismiss my thoughts completely with that condescending “You’ll change your mind [whenever].”
I’m 30 and I still don’t want kids.
