Based on the other pictures, I think the seaponies have the seahorse-like, curly tails like the G1 variety and the mermares have hippocampus-like fish tails.

Based on the teams on the other two pages, the mermares have bigger scales and Celestia-faces. The seaponies are smaller and more colorful. I guess this is to show their connection to the other pony types.

As G3 as is looks, the artist in me can’t help but notice the insane amount of detail gone into this. Shame about the lack of them looking like they’re underwater.
 
Not sure why RD and Fluttershy have silver wings, but hey.
