What’s cool too, is the more you play the game the more you build the world up. In the beginning you’re basically hoofing it on foot, but by the end you’ll have bridges, highways, vehicles, safehouses, and all sorts of cool stuff that you’ve built along the way. It’s your big incentive to not die too, since when you die it creates a massive explosion that can take out the stuff you’ve built :D

Oh I have no doubt. I’m a fan of the director’s work. And that’s also part of why I know there’s more too it than being a simple “walking simulator”, knowing Kojima. I just have a lot of other things going on between trying to work my job and honing various skills in order to go freelance, working personal projects, and frankly I’m not as much a gamer as I used to be so enjoying games in bitesized chunks and casual gaming is something I handle better nowadays. I’m also moderately active and don’t like sitting down for more than an hour at a time without moving around. I guess I just prefer actually walking rather than simulating it, lol.

Yeah but it gets to the point where my wife is like “hey, since you’re not playing this, mind if I do?” And I have no reason to say anything other than “sure thing”, not that I particularly mind coming home and checking it out with her over dinner. Like Bloodborne right now.

Edit to add: that being said, many of the games I picked up I end up really liking. Breath of the Wild and Valkyria Chronicles 4 are some my absolute favorites.

As for Death Stranding specifically, I was interested in it since it was Hideo Kojima’s first work after leaving Konami, and as I am a giant Metal Gear fanboy, I didn’t hesitate.

Come to think of it, isn’t her question a kind of riddle?

I dunno much of anything about Death Stranding. I’ve heard good stuff about it, but it just never really caught my interest.

Meh, there’s nothing wrong with that. You bought the game, thus it’s yours, and so you can start playing it whenever you’re good and ready to, even if it’s been years since the game was last popular.

I’ve yet to play Death Stranding. I’ve had a copy since release day but I have a bad habit of buying games then waiting months or years to play them.

Delivery poners are the most powerful entities in Equestria. They just casually travel all over the untamed wilds facing monsters, the elements, thieves, villains, curses, and hazardous environments. They’re basically the couriers from Death Stranding, but without the weird pickled baby chest thing :P
