Yeah sort of, but I meant more about etymology of the Patreon word.

Patron is a person who donates money, and Patreon is a site for such donations. You choose your tier (for 1$, 5$, 15$ or else) and receive all benefits that listed in the description of the tier. Each month site will withdraw money and transfer it to the owner of the page to which you are subscribed. I hope it helps
