Long story short, it’s real life politics mixed in with pony stuff, but in this case a pony version of Sanders is used to describe irl politics in an Equestrian way. Not something so easily welcomed here.

Either the understandable perspective that despite the valid point, mixing politics and ponies is always an iffy thing.
Apologists angry at the idea of the plebs being allowed more than the barest minimum amount of money needed to (sometimes) feed themselves.
It’s ridiculous, especially since it’s Sanders (and Republican Josh Hawley) leading the charge to get money to Americans, rather than say 1.2 billion dollars to the authoritarian Egyptian regime
