I honestly thought while 2,4 6 greaaat wasn’t a good episode, I feel Rainbow was expected to know something she had no clue on how to do. It doesn’t help most of her bad episodes have somepony else at fault too. Like Mare Do Well had her “friends” humiliate and ridicule her just to teach her a lesson.
 
And as I said in Common Ground (the Quibble pants episode of S9) she was just fine. Honestly while I’m no fan of Quibble (besides being voiced by the awesome Patton Oswalt) it felt like the closest to Classic Dash we got that season.

Actually, I hear they do like her. How a character is written doesn’t always reflect a writer’s biases. Like just because silly things happen to Spike doesn’t mean the writers “hate” him. Just because bad things happen to Batman, or Spiderman doesn’t mean writers hate them.
 
And there are plenty of times Rainbow Dash is nice too, and did good things, like torwards Scootaloo, and her friends, risking herself, and such.

I don’t think she actually made a promise to never do that just not to do it at the time And also some time would have passed since and fluttershy wasn’t much of a scaredy cat as she was. just a few episodes after she faced a dragon and cockatrice

the episodes you were perfectly fine, like seriously. Hurricane Fluttershy? C’mon that was one of her best appearances.
 
There’s addressing a character’s flaw, and there’s punishing the audience for liking the wrong characters. Of the older episodes the only one on the same level was MMDW, but it’s obvious that was their fucking inspiration going forward.
 
Also fuck Twilight for pulling that garbage, that ending was a load, RD should have strangled her at the end

Let’s just say every Rainbow Dash episode ruins her except Flight to the Finish which wasn’t even about her. Even Hurricane Fluttershy she guilt tripped and played the victim card for Fluttershy to participate in the tornado and only doesn’t take credit because her hero was watching.
 
Rainbow was NEVER good. I like her BECAUSE she’s a asshole like Nagito Komaeda from Danganronpa. I’d also like to preface that with Twilight basically forced her into a job she didn’t like. Ever think it’s Twilight’s fault for not taking the job herself? And what about Common Ground (the second Quibble Pants episode)? Wasn’t she alright in that.
 
Fact is, I like RD because she’s an unlikeable bitch. Also the writers don’t like Rainbow, that’s why they write her the way they do. Also early Dash was still a manipulative, belittling, and vindictive bully to Flutters, remember Dragonshy and Hurricane Fluttershy? And don’t get me started on Tanks for the Memories as well as May the best pet win.

Yeah, no dice. Season 6 onward it was really obvious the writers had something against you liking Rainbow Dash, especially after reading how the leaked versions of her most infamous episodes were originally supposed to handle her

She was becoming like that before the Cheerleader episode, and even after the episode I mentioned that broke her for me (28 Pranks Later), she still had a good moment or two, but then that Cheerleading episode… dear lord that was painful. I could barely sit through it.

She was always a bit iffy at times but that’s why we liked her, it was AT times.  
In later seasons, it was ALWAYS.  
She was never good in later seasons, she was just pure cunt 100% of the time.
 
At least in earlier seasons she had genuine great moments and friend interactions, later on it was constant whining, bitching and moaning, and “OH LOOK HOW AWESOME I AM”. The breaking point was the 28 Pranks Later episode where she literally broke a promise she made to Pinkie to never prank Fluttershy. Early seasons Dash took promises like that seriously, but not Season 6 and beyond Rainbow Dash,who no longer gave any fucks about anything and was by FAR the worst Mane 6 character at that point. This is coming from a former Rainbow Dash fan, when she used to be in my Top 5 Ponies in General.
