I liked this one tho, because it allowed me to practice some Portugese :)

I was attempting to suss out the story from the original Portuguese version, despite not speaking a word of Portuguese. Turns out I was close. I’m glad someone did a translation.

This reminds me of a short story… “Gift of the Magi,” I think it was called. A man sold his pocket watch to buy some combs for his wife, and she in turn had her hair cut and sold it to buy her husband a pocket watch chain.
