Celestia’s Ballad is awesome, but NOTHING comes close to This Day Aria.

No. This Day Aria is better than anything in season 3.

More accurate would be “Celestia sang poorly.”

I just loved the fact Celestia sung a song, my fav song of the new episode was “I’ve got to find a way.”

Aria was better in my opinion. I think its my fave song in the series, coming from someone who isn’t even all that into the songs. Celestia’s was very nice though. Its one of the few I can again look back on and say I enjoyed. Rarity’s “Becoming Popular” is another if anyone is curious, lol.

Honestly, I thought Celestia’s song was kind of stupid. It was basically a contradiction of the entire episode that led up to it, because it was all about how Celestia had already planned out Twilight’s destiny and chosen it for her, and there was nothing she could do about it.

All the songs in this episode were shit.

We need another villain song.

Op here again - wanted to wait a few minutes before posting my thoughts on it.
 
“This Day Aria” was, and still is, amazing - it was my most-listened to song, last year.  
“Celestia’s Ballad” was very good, but has a different mood to it.
 
I’d say “This Day Aria” is the best song of the series, with “Celestia’s Ballad” in 2nd, and “I’ve Got to Find a Way” in a close 3rd.
 
(Side note: with both songs, I didn’t notice them that much the first time I heard them, but loved them after hearing it a second time.)

Celestia’s Ballad was far more villainous than This Day Aria.

It easily tops it for me.  
If only because of how heartfelt it was.

I liked the songs in the ep. Even the short ones were nice.
 
This Day Aria still wins since it was a Villain duet with one of the Heroes.

Celestia singing was cool, but the song itself was totally flat and awful. This Day aria is absolutely incredible and still reigns as one of the most popular songs of the whole show, if not THE most popular song.

How about the ear worm that “Babs Seed” is? I thought that was a really good song.

This Day Aria is still the best song in the series, Smile Smile Smile comes at a close second.

It’s a lot shorter, but I think it was more beautiful.
