I will speak my opinion. Both dramas are pointless.

Underped Derpy, i can deal with. It was never anything more than a minor annoyane to me,because at the end of the day she is still just a background pony (albeit one of the most popular ones).

No drama, really.

I don’t know; Derpy drama was more stupid than entertaining. Just a bunch insensitive jerk-offs desperately trying to prove their blonde-haired, wall-eyed, stereotypical-retard-voice character wasn’t offensive in any way shape or form. It had it’s entertainment factor, but it pales in comparison to the awesomeness that is the Alicorn drama.

You have a better disposition about it than you let on, apparently.

Preferably neither, though the Derpy drama (I refuse to use the -gate suffix, because A: It had nothing to do with watergate; and B: It’s used by imbeciles to denote any major controversy) is far more clear-cut: The haters can suck it, there was nothing wrong with her presentation.
 
As for the Alicorn drama, I wouldn’t have a problem with it…except for the following degrees of fandom fuckwittery: People making root-assumptions about alicorns, even when there is no evidence in the narrative to back them up; People stating that it was/is “against Faust’s vision”, even though her vision was compromised before production of the show began; and finally: People whom want to keep the status quo.
 
Look, I’m ok with discussing the pros and cons of alicorn twilight…but not when I the people I’m discussing it with use weak arguing points (listed above) to attack the concept
