My siren head is literally a giant crab with sirens on its back but WOW this is cool/creepy.

Is it just me or does siren head look creepier in Pony form than he does in his human-like form?😰😨

Oh and I’m not bashing the Animation channel. I think they probably made a simple mistake that took off too well. I quite enjoy their videos.

The thing you’re referring to is a channel that makes SCP Animations. Evidently they wanted to branch out into other stuff. Given the 6k to 7k numbers aren’t usable yet, they probably slapped a random number on it and called it a day, only to revert it once they found out it was a bad idea.
 
From my Understanding the SCPs go into a chronology or series.  
SCPs 001 to 999 are Series 1  
SCPs 1000 to 1999 are Series 2 and so on.  
For a new Series to begin, all the numbers within the range of 0 to 999 (besides Series 1) must be filled in with an SCP, once there is a page for all SCPs between 0 and 999 the next series begins.
 
From my current understanding unless it has gone faster than I anticipated, we’re currently in the ball park of SCP-5000 to SCP-5999  
If the guys behind the channel are aware of this, they might have picked a 4 digit starting with 6*** as to attempt not to cause confusion, but as was the case that happened anyway and people began thinking that Siren Head was an SCP  
He is not, he is the property of artist Trevor Henderson who I believe has also stated Siren Head is not an SCP. By attempting to lump Siren Head into the SCP Foundation, they are intentionally or not, stealing Siren Head from Trevor Henderson.
