And the best part…FINN is the one who goes to be trained by Luke (Who in this reality, didnt go into exile to kill himself slowly but instead to rebuild the Jedi once again).

This is from a Parallel universe where Lucas Film wasn’t ran by raving morons- and wrote a convincing story where someone with zero sword training going up against someone who’s trained since teen years.
 
This also gives tension to the over arching narrative as now there’s such a powerful threat that the heroes most overcome and triumph over.
