Thanks, all of you, for the generous emotional (and financial!) support that came about as a result of the previous update’s depressing blogging. I usually have a mindset of “The internet doesn’t want to hear about your problems” when it comes to this sort of thing, so to take the risk of opening up and to get “It’s going to be okay” in return… Well, that’s exactly what I needed. It’ll be a while before things get better, but I’ll just keep on trucking until then.

Enough about that. Story Time! Tell a story about entering a new town for the first time on your journey, and how that was handled on either the DM side or the player side.

Rarity: Was this discussed beforehand, or…?
Twilight Sparkle: No, this is news to all of us. Why exactly have we traveled to the capital city?
DM: Like I said: A number of reasons. Twilight, you’re visiting your parents.
Twilight Sparkle: …I have parents?
DM: Applejack, I don’t think I need to tell you what you’re doing.
Applejack: Hmm… Ah s’pose Ah could be lookin’ for a contractor to help expand the farm…
DM: There we go. That’s my girl. Rainbow Dash…
Rainbow Dash: Oh, great. What lame reason am I being dragged along for?
DM: You’re being scouted out by a group called the Wonderbolts. In exchange for your time, one of their lawyers will look into your little contract problem for you.
Rainbow Dash: So I can get my loot back?
Rarity: What are you looking at me for…?
DM: It’s a definite maybe.
Rainbow Dash: Well… Alright, I’ll play along. For now.
