[Season 9 Frenemies Spoiler!!]

I somehow randomly decided to design my own form of reformed Chrysalis. Since there are already so many versions of her reformed in the web, I also wanted to create my own type. It might look somehow similar with an already existing version, but I didn’t look at a reference while drawing it and instead did it from my mind. I prefered that color palette, because it suited the color shemes of reformed changelings very well and could really be a positive version of Chrysalis.
 
Well about her reformation herself: I practically only did it just for fun and for trying something new (because that image, you can see here, previously popped up in my mind, so I decided to bring it to paper), even though I don’t really expect her reformation in the show. In my opinion, Chrysalis is a great villain and bad guy and it’s somehow too eutopic (the opposite of dystopic), unrealistic, girly and unaccurate of her being reformed, but I’m okay as well, if they did so. The only thing, I’m not okay with is, when they reform Tirek, because I definitely can see him ending like the Storm King.
 
Now, I’ll have a short talk about my predictions. After watching “Frenemies”, I sorta had the feeling, that they’ll either reform all members (probably Grogar found out, that they betrayed him and wanted to kill them or so) of the Legion of Doom or none and that also contains Chrysalis. Though I don’t hope the Legion of Doom ending unreformed, because I really want Cozy Glow to reform, but I don’t know yet. I mean, it’s just the thing of MLP reforming villains instead of killing them and that’s the thing, which made MLP unique. Besides, Hasbro still owns MLP, which means they needed new toys, so they give Chrysalis a new design (since I don’t see it being possible with Cozy or Tirek) and “Buy our Toys”, like they did with the Treehouse of Harmony.
 
Of course, I also don’t expect Chrysalis’ reformation. In “Frenemies”, she said on her own, that Friendship is a decease and infected her whole hive and that’s really extreme. Therefore, I can’t imagine her changing her opinion and believing, that Friendship was magic, because everytime she does, she still fears, that she might be infected, which concludes, that she won’t reform herself for friendship. That might also cause Cozy Glow (hopefully not) and Tirek (that’s okay) not reforming. On the other hand, I surfed through the web and found out, that a surprisingly high amound of bronies, pegasisters and casual MLP fans were against Chrysalis’ reformation, because they couldn’t imagine her being a kind and gentle lady-ponyhybrid-bug and they found her being perfect as a bad character like I think. Someone even stated, that EVERY show, even the reformation-loving MLP, needs villains, who stay bad and don’t get reformed (though MLP already has the Storm King, but that’s the movie). And when Hasbro made Chrysalis reform in the finale, he/she/it might also make a lot of haters or foes and as we know Hasbro, he/she/it does a lot for his/her/its fandom and bronies/pegasisters and the least, Hasbro might do is, making a lot of people feeling uncomfortable with the very last final, that also ends the show.
 
Speaking of the finale: Seriously people, we all know contemporary MLP and even there are way better Season 9 episodes than Season 8 episodes (in my opinion), MLP is still going downhill and making Chrysalis reform will end up being written pathetically in 99,9999999% and will even be a bit rushed. I mean, in the finale, we might probably confront Grogar taking over Equestria with his genious masterplan and then the reveal of the revolution/betrayal of the Legion of Doom and when I even doubt Sombra reappearing in the finale and plus some fight scenes of the Mane 6 or the Young Six, I don’t think there’ll be any space for a properly done reformation, especially since the final also means the ending of the show.
 
Still, I’m really hyped for more Season 9 episodes. The beginning of so far so good and there are about three episodes I didn’t like and one I found medicore, so I hope, it becomes better and revealed a lot of well written episodes. I suspect, that the grand finale will have three episodes instead of usually two, which will be really exciting in the end, and whether Chrysalis, Cozy Glow or Tirek reforms, we’ll all find it out in the finale. I’m already so hyped!
 
And again, remember: This is NO hate art and I really drew it with a lot of passion and motivation like I usually do with all of my artworks and even I think a different way, I had fun drawing a reformed Chrysalis. And as said, I’m okay, if she reforms. That’s tolerance.
