Privacy. In my headcanon, there are still things ponies do that are considered immodest by fussy pony standards, and among them are probably some types of bathing and dressing/undressing.

It’s been shown that Rarity, for whatever reason, sometimes dislikes being nude. Remember in “A Canterlot Wedding” where she was catching the clothes and had to be reminded that “ponies don’t usually wear clothes”?
