I feel you all make good points. Discord is chaotic, yes, but even before his reformation we never saw him actually violently hurt anyone on screen. Now that he is reformed, I can’t picture him even thinking of doing something like this.
Im pretty sure even old Discord would’ve been disgusted by the idea of ACTUALLY harming them, instead of just messing around with them…

Difference is I’m pretty sure old Discord wouldn’t want the pony’atas to break open when you hit them. Or at least they would spill candy if he did.
Cosmos is more of a ‘break them open and spill their guts’ kind of chaos.

Besides the “Chaos isn´t about hurting people” actually everbody can see S2 Discord doing that, that´s not hurt somebody if you make them a infinite piñatas, they will be fine after breaking the piñata.
The only thing in the coulpe discussion is about “the pony must cry or not?”
