I’ll be honest, this was a completely experimental project for me: I wanted to work on backgrounds, lighting, and mane texture most of all and I haven’t drawn Rarity virtually at all!
 
Rarity, in my opinion, has some of the best episodes in the entire series. Sure, at first I didn’t really like her since she was the stereotypical valley girl kind of persona, but MAN has she come a long way! Her drama makes sense as does her tendency to be selfish at times and she learns how to better herself. She’s come very far since episode one and I’m proud of this fashion queen!
 
So, yeah, just thought I’d experiment here… there’s really no story, but I guess this could be seen as a dream Rarity’s having. She misses the butterfly wings Twilight gave her and imagines the stars themselves dusting onto her and giving her brand new wings (hence the title).
