Click the image on DA to bring up to readable resolution. Upload the right click ‘copy image address’, should upload half dimension image of the full download. Problem solved.

I’m just a bit irritated that nobody asked me first.
 
Don’t take down what’s already up there, just … don’t post them at full resolution in future, and make sure to link to the original.
 
I’m not making any money on this, but I’d like some recognition.
 
Not sure how to honor the part about resolution tough. I posted a lower resolution for this one (unintentionally though) and people had trouble reading it. But I’ll see what I can do in the future.

I’m not sure how getting your artwork reblogged reshared or retweeted is it being ‘used’, but I looked at the source for this image and the artist has the share links active for the pic. So they don’t seem to be against people using those functions.

The ‘I didn’t give permission’ reply from her is what set me off. I don’t like seeing friends on DA getting used and not being asked first. That would be the responsible thing for anyone to do.

the policy here is that if the artist asks them not to share it, they delete it, however most artists see that we mean no harm, or that they get more recognition since this site has actual folksonomy tags instead of deviantfail, or just don’t care. but you don’t have to get permission first, to share something someone created. it’s only if they object to it afterward. perfectblue97 said “I hope they’re linking back” because they were worried about sites that share stuff without credit (*cough*equestriadaily*cough*), but derpibooru links back and strongly enforces artist tags, so I think we’re cool.

The reason why I initially uploaded a low resolution version of the page is that recently something has happened with DeviantArt. When I click “Download” on any page, it no longer provides the proper url. If I copy what appears in the url bar, it results in an error when attempting to upload to Derpibooru.
 
So I got the url from the image on the page itself. I didn’t notice anything wrong since I was using my phone at the time and it looked fine there. Ever since then I have gotten around the issue by clicking “Download” and then saving the image. Then uploading from there instead of directly.

I really hope he changes his mind. It would be quite unfortunate for Derpibooru to lose this series. I have posted my reply to the conversation. All I can do is wait to see what his response will be.

you know you can click on the image to make it bigger, right? that is a thing you can do here. the text is easy to read on both sites.
