Description
With the last couple seasons or so focusing on the goings on beyond Equestria’s borders, I was really hoping to see more of the buffalo, but it seems like they’re more interested in inventing new stuff than fleshing out old stuff.

hell yeah, I’d have loved another Buffalo episode: specifically one with Little Strongheart and Braeburn together as a couple. The one flaw that Hasbro seems to have is the distinct lack of World Building and Lore in-general aside from the surface level stuff offered through in-show flashbacks or flat expository dialogue. This is part of the reason why we have such a strong stigma against Alicorns: because they are never even talked about in detail, how they fit in to the mythos of The Three Tribes, their culture and history compared to that of the Three Tribes and how they interacted with one-another, etc.
We could have had Alicorns be the result of a Pony reaching inner-clarity through patience and meditation that results in an awakening akin to zen philosophy. Or have Alicorns be split into two categories of Mortal and Immortals like was said in Past Sins. Or have there be a civil war between the Three Tribes after the Hearthswarming and tie the Alicorns and the Crystal Empire into the lore of how Equestria as we know it was founded.

Remember the Diamond Dogs?
What makes you say that?

Comics aren’t canon.
The La Li Lu Le Lo? Yeah, makes sense.
Personally, I’ve always hoped for another episode featuring the buffalo (aside from comic story where Rainbow Dash visits them again). Sure, they were a rather clumsy analogy for Indigenous folk, but I’m glad Hasbro took the gamble.
