It seems like you have to meet at least two of these three criteria in order to be suitable for redemption.

She was sympathetic, very popular and a designated villain in her debut.
Unless they’re Trixie.
This especially means more no mercy for them, coz they “tragic” (mostly in case diferents interpretations) stories are terrible
Actually in Glim glam case this is mostly in half or she got only 2 in half and 3 in half and 1 in 1/100. Also Sombra got 1 (even if it is shoved in comics only) and you forgot about Sunset Shimmer (she got 2 and in half 3) and Tempest shadow (she got in half 1 or in 1/3 and rest in full or some sorta 3/5 or 3/4)
