Nail on the head, and very concisely written as well. Thank you.
It’s another thing entirely to have said kid questioning his biological sex
Why? I knew kids in elementary school who were angry all the time because they didn’t like being forced into gendered clothes and social expectations they didn’t think applied to them, even if they didn’t have words for it at the time. It’s wildly inappropriate for individuals to think of kids sexually, but society at large sure as hell has no problem forcing them into sex-based social roles as soon as they hit the Postnatal Ward, and that most certainly wrecks the development of kids who don’t fit into one (and only one) of the two specific boxes provided.
>9 year olds never get horny
You’re conflating gender identity with sexual orientation. One is the perception of your biological structure of being male or female, the other is dependent on sexual development and maturity.
The perception of one’s gender and biological sex (and how one is different from others) actually begins to form around age 3. This is about the time that children begin to notice that they are “different” from children of the opposite gender and become curious in their own biological structure. Ages 6 through about 12 is the time when the perception of one’s biological configuration becomes fully realized, but it’s built on the pervious years. Much of the psychological aspects of this development occur during this period, which is why gender identity issues start to manifest around this age.
Come puberty, the sexual aspects of their biology start to manifest and be dealt with.
This is not poltical rhetoric incidentally, it is biological and psychological fact. I should know, as my career and training happen to be in both of those displines.
I figured it would happen more often when they hit puberty and start properly coming into their own sexually. Not when they’re still learning multiplication and division.
Oh Jesus Christ is this why progressives are trying to push transexual education into elementary schools?
Fair enough.
Another reason to try to be nice and not add more problems to someone thats already going through a lot.
it’s still tragic though, because they get to spend the rest of their lives feeling like the wrong sex, and they’ve got a lot of life left to go, at that age.
Well, most trans people start questioning their biological sex around that age. Do you think someone turns 18 and goes “oh shit, i guess i’m not comfortable with my body now.”
let us just agree to disagree
No that’s even worse than if it was just Snails wanting to crossdress. It’s one thing to have a kid be interested in the opposite gender’s clothing. It’s another thing entirely to have said kid questioning his biological sex.
She (snails) is transgendered basically. Nothing wrong with that
Even worse. So it’s a child pretty much.

@redweasel
Stop chin shamming my girls ok.
I like the fat chins. It’s different.
Well, its almost over, hang in there a bit more. Tho whats coming next, its complicated, man.
A series that I think does storylines well for the most part is Adorkable Twilight and Friends. Their character development is second to none, and I would love to see that happen in this series. The first “Season” of Glim Glam and Pals was great, but this new story arc or whatever it is, just drags on and is pretty uninteresting. I have no interest in it.

Like the stuff with Trixie’s dad or the aftermath of Starlight’s near-death experience. Or some new stuff.
To be honest, this crossover has been a bit boring for me.
What other parts?
