Description
What had to be hundreds of ponies crowded the park near Kid’s exhibit, maybe more. While it was certain that many were here for exactly that, most, the kids figured, were here for the nearby Zenith Stone, the central and most well known feature of Sunlight Park. Truffle remembered hearing that, supposedly, every day, the sun will hit its peak while directly above that stone. The ensuing light show has always been a delightful event, and has made Sunlight Park quite popular for locals and tourists alike.
“We don’t have long before the Zenith Stone does its thing and signals the start to the science faire. If we wanna talk to Kid before it starts, we gotta get through that crowd, quick.” Krabby pointed through the crowd to Kid’s exhibition space.
“We’ll meet you all in there, later, we’re going to stay for the zenith.” Polaris said.
“Don’t you want to see what Kid has made? I mean… the zenith happens every day.” Truffle looked back at the large stone, he’d seen it so many times just because Mama Lyra happened to bring him and Mom-Bon out here a lot. He looked around to see if Mama Lyra was somewhere in the crowd, but gave up after a short time.
“Well, we’d probably be more curious if we didn’t already know what it was. We helped him gather the components for it.” Polaris explained, and Bolt’s jaw dropped.
“We’ve been double-crossed!” Sugarbolt exclaimed, “How could you?!?”
“I… mean we weren’t exactly hiding it?” The brown colt shrugged. “Kid came to us asking for help. You can talk to him about it.”
