I suppose that makes sense, if you want to believe that Pinkamena and Diane were especially aggressive. Personally, based on my friend’s theories, I like to think that the option to conjoin was available to all three of them. Given the choice, Pinkamena and Diane agreed to it; while Marble decided against it. If there was only enough room in Cloudy Quartz’s womb for two foals, then such conjoining would’ve helped out a lot.
Maybe Pinkamena and Diane, while battling for supremacy, simply overlooked their quieter sister. I mean, Marble is pretty good at fading into the background, and Pinkie is good at doing exactly the opposite of that.
My mistake. Just substitute Maud for Marble.
Actually, Pinkie’s twin is Marble.
Based on my friend’s theory, that can lead to some interesting questions. For instance, if Diane, Pinkamena, and Maud were in fact triplets; then why did Pinkamena and Diane conjoin that way, and not Pinkamena and Maud, or for that matter Diane and Maud? Why didn’t all three of them conjoin?
Does that make Pinkie two of a set of three triplets?
That and she’s apparently an ACTUAL twin, since dialogue puts Marble as her fraternal twin.
I have a friend that theorizes that Pinkie is actually twins conjoined so completely that they’re essentially two pony spirits in one pony body.
